| Welcome to the cyber home of Artifix Records. We are an independent record label dedicated to releasing vintage punk rock from the early years as well as some new releases by legendary bands. Our first five releases are from The Absentees, White Flag, Kaos, The Bags, and Catholic Discipline. We have more releases on the way by Controllers, Thee Undertakers, and Benedict Arnold and the Traitors. All of these releases document early recordings from these groups and offer their band history with booklets loaded with facts, lyrics, flyers, photos, and more |
| In the near future we hope to bring you more audio releases and possibly a VHS/DVD of some of the bands from the first wave of punk. Be sure to check out our catalog of releases. Also check out our "attic" section for rare, old and new punk records, CDs, and videos. Get in touch! |

July 2008 We've been a bit behind lately, but we are happy to finally have the CIRCLE ONE LP out now. Copies have been shipped to all of our distributors so watch for it hitting your store soon. CIRCLE ONE worked really hard at recording some of their vintage songs that never got recorded back in the day along with a few new songs in the same classic Los Angeles hardcore style. Check out this LP to hear what the band sounds like with proper recording and mixing. This LP is powerful and aggressive 1980's style hardcore. All original surviving members of the band are on this LP and are joined by a new singer who is also a veteran of other punk bands. Noramlly we do not put out releases of new material, but these guys are a classic band with vintage songs that they were finally able to record. Check it out if you are a fan of fast and furious hardcore. The RHINO 39 / BLACK RANDY AND THE METROSQUAD split 7" should be out soon. We just received test pressings. The RHINO 39 song is NOT on their "complete discography" CD and is an out-take from their Dangerhouse 7" session from 1979 with Dave Dacron on vocals. The song is called "Night in Watts" and is the personal story of one night that Dacron had to walk home through Watts. The BLACK RANDY song is the hardest version of "I Wanna Be a Nark" that we have ever heard. Grinding guitars and demented keyboards. This is an out-take from the "Idi Amin" 7" sesssion from 1978 and is totally different than the version that ended up on the 7" EP. Both of these songs are previoulsy unreleased Dangerhouse recordings that further prove what a truly amazing label Dangerhouse was. Even 29 years later their cast off songs are better than most anything else that has come out since! Out soon! The SOCIAL TASK 8 song 7" EP is in the works and should be out by end of September. This features 5 songs from their December 1979 studio session and three vintage songs that they recorded last summer when they reunited. Check out their band page on our site for more info. These guys are back together and playing all the classics. They will be touring the U.S. in the Fall. The BAGS LP is currently out of stock. We will have some more soon. The BAGS LP will be out on CD version hopefully by Fall. The EYES complete Dangerhouse recordings will hopefully be out before 2008 is over. Maybe by late Fall or early Winter. We are still sifting through the REACTORS material and will hopefully have out a reissue of their KBD 7" EP soon and an LP or CD release of all their material in 2009. Checkout their new page on our site for more info. We are currently talking to and
working with some other bands from the classic era as well. If all goes
well, you might see us release material from THE OUTSIDERS (Huntington
Beach 1977), THE DETOURS (Orange County 1977), and THE ALCOHOLICS (Hermosa
Beach 1978). These are only works in progress right now, but we thought
we would tease you anyway! |
